Why Curry in a Hurry Enforces a “No Public Bathroom” Policy

At Curry in a Hurry New Generation, our goal has always been to serve delicious Indian food in Minneapolis with warmth, tradition, and hospitality. For a month now, we have extended that hospitality by offering our restrooms to the public. Unfortunately, some individuals abused this kindness. After repeated incidents involving unsafe and unsanitary conditions, including needles and bodily fluids, we had no choice but to take action.
For the safety of our staff, our guests, and our neighborhood community, our policy is now clear: no public bathrooms. Restrooms are for paying customers only, and all customers must pay first before receiving the bathroom key.
This rule is not about being unwelcoming. It is about protecting our team and the families, students, and neighbors who come here to enjoy authentic Indian dishes. Even if the purchase is as small as a soda, it helps offset the cost of restroom upkeep and prevents further damage.
As the owner, I have instructed all staff to enforce this policy consistently. Please do not be upset with them. They are doing their jobs and making sure that Curry in a Hurry remains a safe, clean, and welcoming place for everyone.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support. Thank you for helping us keep our restaurant not only a place for flavorful curries, samosas, and chai, but also one where safety and respect come first.
