Pumpkin Spice Lassi and Chai in Minneapolis: Tell Us What You Think

Updated: Sep 5

At Curry in a Hurry, our heart is in sharing authentic Bangladeshi and Indian food with the Minneapolis community. But we also enjoy experimenting with new ideas that reflect the season and invite people to try something different. This fall, one flavor seems to be everywhere: pumpkin spice. From coffee shops to bakeries, it’s the taste of autumn. That made us wonder—what if we created our own seasonal twist?

Imagine a creamy pumpkin spice lassi with the tang of yogurt and the warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg. Or a comforting pumpkin spice chai served hot on a chilly afternoon. These drinks would bring the cozy flavors of fall into South Asian favorites, creating something familiar yet new.

We know not everyone agrees. Some of our family and friends tell us to keep things traditional, and we understand that perspective. But our vision has always been about inclusion. Food has the power to connect people, and sometimes that means blending traditions with seasonal flavors to see what can happen.

Now we want to hear from you. Would you try a pumpkin spice lassi? Would you order a pumpkin spice chai? Should these autumn-inspired drinks have a spot on our menu, even if only for a seasonal special?

You can share your thoughts directly in the comments below or fill out the survey. Your feedback will help us decide if these fall flavors should make their debut at Curry in a Hurry this season. Whether you are excited about the idea or prefer sticking to the classics, your opinion matters.

This fall, let’s celebrate flavors that bring warmth, spark curiosity, and bring our community together.
