We know there has been some confusion, so we want to take a moment to share our story and set things straight.
Gandhi Mahal Curry in a Hurry has closed, and the former owners have moved out of state to focus on other things. That restaurant is no longer in business.
Curry in a Hurry New Generation is something completely different. We are a father and daughter team, and this is our family’s restaurant. My father has been in the restaurant world for decades, and when the opportunity came up to bring Curry in a Hurry back, we decided to do it together. My dad always loved the Curry in a Hurry name and thought keeping it would help us grow since people already knew it. What we did not realize at the time was that it might cause some confusion. That is why we are writing this blog — to make sure everyone knows who we are.
When you visit Curry in a Hurry New Generation, you are supporting a family owned and immigrant owned business built with fresh energy and a lot of heart. Our goal is simple: to serve authentic, freshly made Indian food while creating a space where everyone feels welcome. We are here on Franklin Avenue, cooking food that is hot, flavorful, and made for you the moment you order.
We are so grateful for the support we have received already and we cannot wait for you to stop by, try our food, and get to know us.
